Alex Silverstone returns home after spending three years in prison for a financial crime he did not commit. He took the blame for his wife, Amanda, believing his sacrifice would protect their family and give their child a better future. Prison changed his life, but not in the way anyone expects. While behind bars, Alex earned the respect of powerful Sicilian crime boss Don Moretti by showing courage, intelligence, and extraordinary loyalty. After Alex saves Don's life, the wealthy man promises to reward him with one hundred million dollars.
Alex comes home with one dream: rebuild his marriage and finally create the happy life he once promised Amanda. Instead, he finds his home completely changed. Amanda treats him with disgust, refuses to listen to him, and introduces arrogant Jerry as a tenant living in their apartment. Jerry openly humiliates Alex, while Amanda repeatedly takes Jerry's side. Even worse, Alex begins to notice signs that their relationship may be much more than landlord and tenant. Still deeply in love with his wife, Alex refuses to believe the worst and keeps telling himself that their marriage can be saved.
There is one thing Amanda does not know: Alex is about to become incredibly rich.
